Trip plan
Day 1 — Nashik to Kolhapur
Drive to Kolhapur via Pune; evening Mahalaxmi darshan.
Day 2 — Kolhapur to Gokarna
Drive through Belagavi and down the ghats to Karwar's Rabindranath Tagore Beach, then on to Gokarna.
Day 3 — Gokarna
Mahabaleshwar temple and Maha Ganapati temple, then Kudle, Om, Half Moon and Paradise beaches.
Day 4 — Mirjan Fort & Yana
The moss-covered Mirjan Fort, then the black karst rocks of Yana and Vibhooti Falls.
Day 5 — Idagunji & Murudeshwar
Idagunji Maha Ganapati near Honnavar, then Murudeshwar — the giant Shiva statue, the temple gopuram and the beach.
Day 6 — Murudeshwar to Kolhapur
Drive back up the coast and over the ghats to Kolhapur.
Day 7 — Kolhapur to Nashik
The drive home to Nashik.
Good to know: Traditional dress is expected at the Gokarna temples. Reaching Yana involves a short walk from the parking, and Half Moon and Paradise beaches are reached on foot or by boat from Om Beach.
